Principal’s Message

This role is especially meaningful to me because I am returning to serve the community that helped shape who I am. As a proud Jones High School graduate who grew up in Mercy Drive, Richmond Heights, and Washington Shores, I understand the strength, resilience, and promise that define our neighborhoods. I know firsthand the impact that caring educators, supportive families, and strong community partnerships can have on the lives of young people.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving students as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and Head of Schools. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to building meaningful relationships, supporting outstanding educators, increasing student achievement, and creating positive school cultures. Together, we will continue to build a school culture rooted in excellence, respect, opportunity, and pride while ensuring every student is prepared for success in college, careers, military service, and life.

To our incoming students and families, welcome to the Sunshine High School family. We look forward to partnering with you as your student begins this exciting new chapter. To our returning students and families, thank you for your continued trust and support as we build on the strong traditions of our school.

I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside each of you throughout the year. Together, we will create an environment where every student is known, every family is welcomed, and every member of our school community has the opportunity to succeed.
